Data Deletion

You can delete your data from smartshare.social at any time. This page explains what we store and how to have it removed, including data obtained through Instagram (Meta).

1. Delete everything by uninstalling

Uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin is the fastest way. When you uninstall, Shopify notifies us and we automatically delete your store data, your connected Instagram account and access tokens, and your generated posts within 30 days.

2. Disconnect Instagram only

To remove just your Instagram connection (and the access token we store for it) without uninstalling, open Settings in the app and disconnect the account, or email us. You can also revoke access from Instagram's Account Center at any time.

3. Request deletion by email

Email [email protected] from the address associated with your store, or include your .myshopify.com domain, and ask us to delete your data. We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.

4. What we delete

• Your shop record, settings, and saved style templates.
• Your connected Instagram account, username, and encrypted access tokens.
• Generated images, captions, scheduled and published post records.
• Any Instagram insights (reach, saves, etc.) we cached for your posts.

We may retain minimal billing or audit records where required by law. We do not sell your data and we do not store Instagram shoppers' personal information.
